Ismael Palomino

Ismael Palomino is the secretary general of the Confederación Nacional de Mineros Artesanales del Perú (Confemin), advocating for the rights and formalization of informal miners in Peru. Recently, he has been vocal in protests against government measures that hinder the formalization process of mining activities, particularly opposing the Decreto Supremo 012-2025, which he claims restricts many miners from achieving legal status in their operations.
