Iulia Hașdeu
Iulia Hașdeu (1869-1888) was a gifted Romanian poet and intellectual, known for her literary talents and academic pursuits. The daughter of prominent scholar Bogdan Petriceicu Hașdeu, she excelled in languages and was interested in philosophy, writing poetry primarily in French as well as plays and stories. Tragically, she died at just 19 years old from tuberculosis, and her death profoundly affected her father, who built a castle in her memory. Iulia's brief but impactful life left a lasting legacy in Romanian literature.
