Iveta Vecenāne is a renowned Latvian textile artist born in 1962, known for her mastery in the classic tapestry weaving technique. She graduated from the Textile Arts Department of the Latvian Academy of Arts in 1988, later earning a master's degree in 2004. Since 1985, Vecenāne has participated in numerous exhibitions both locally and internationally, showcasing her work in countries such as the USA, Austria, Belgium, and Italy. Her creations often reflect her deep connection to nature, particularly the beauty of meadows, and she skillfully blends traditional weaving skills with artistic expression. Her latest works displayed in the exhibition at the Decorative Arts and Design Museum highlight her artistic journey and the intricate relationship between human creativity and the natural world.
