J. C. R. Licklider

J. C. R. Licklider was an American psychologist and computer scientist, widely recognized as one of the pioneers of the internet. He was instrumental in conceptualizing the idea of an 'Intergalactic Network' in the early 1960s, which laid the groundwork for the development of the ARPANET, the precursor to the modern internet. Licklider's vision of a connected world contributed significantly to the evolution of digital communication and the social media landscape we know today.
