J.V.
J.V. is a 31-year-old Venezuelan immigrant currently residing in the United States under Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which is set to expire in April 2023. She is five months pregnant and has become a central figure in a legal challenge against a recent executive order by President Donald Trump that seeks to deny birthright citizenship to children of undocumented immigrants. J.V. argues that this order would not only violate the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution but also put her unborn child at risk of statelessness and discrimination.
