Jakov Dzhugashvili
Jakov Dzhugashvili was the eldest son of Joseph Stalin, the leader of the Soviet Union. He enlisted in the Red Army at the onset of World War II but was captured by Nazi forces in 1941. His father, Stalin, refused to negotiate for his release, believing that negotiating for a low-ranking officer was beneath him. Jakov died in a German concentration camp in 1943, a victim of both the war and his father's ruthless policies.
