Jamshid Dolou was a prominent figure in Iranian agriculture and horticulture, known for his passion for gardening and the cultivation of various plant species. Born into the influential Dolou family of the Qajar dynasty, he dedicated himself to developing the Jamshidieh Garden, which became renowned for its high-quality fruits, particularly the flavorful medlar. In 1945, he was appointed as the head of the College of Agriculture in Karaj.
