Farah Pahlavi, born on October 14, 1938, is the last Empress of Iran and the wife of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran. As a passionate art lover, she was instrumental in establishing the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art in 1977, which houses a remarkable collection of modern art, including works by Western masters such as Picasso and Warhol. After the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Pahlavi left Iran and has since lived in exile, advocating for Iranian culture and arts.
