Jean Negulescu

Born on February 26, 1900, in Craiova, Romania, Jean Negulescu was a celebrated film director and painter who made a significant impact in Hollywood. After emigrating to the United States in 1927, he transitioned from painting to filmmaking, directing popular films such as 'How to Marry a Millionaire' and 'Phone Call from a Stranger.' Negulescu was honored with the title of Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government and remained a pivotal figure in the Romanian film industry until his death on July 18, 1993, in Marbella, Spain.
