Jhoanna Sanguino

Jhoanna Sanguino is a Venezuelan activist and the aunt of Widmer Agelvis Sanguino, one of the deported individuals from El Salvador. Recently, she traveled to San Salvador with hopes of seeing her nephew, who was among 252 Venezuelans expelled by the U.S. government in a controversial immigration policy. Despite her efforts to advocate for his release, she was unable to gain access to the maximum-security prison where he is held, highlighting the struggles faced by families of deported migrants.
