João Scognamiglio Clá Dias is the founder of the Heralds of the Gospel, a religious organization with a presence in 78 countries. He was recently in the news due to allegations of misconduct that were made against him, which included claims from former members of the congregation. However, a letter from attorney Jesús Albeiro Yepes to Pope León XIV indicated that a Colombian judicial investigation concluded without charges against him, presenting a retraction from one of the accusers.
