Johannes Hirter

Johannes Hirter was a German military officer and a member of the resistance against Adolf Hitler's regime. He participated in the plot to assassinate Hitler on July 20, 1944, and was critical of the war and the Nazi government. Hirter held a skeptical view of Stauffenberg's motivations, arguing that while Stauffenberg was not a democrat, he aimed to establish an authoritarian regime in Germany post-Hitler.
