John Monteath
John Monteath was a Scottish slave owner in Jamaica who purchased Archibald John Monteath and held him in bondage on his estate. After his death in 1815, he was buried on his property, which later became significant in the context of the discovery of burial grounds for enslaved people, including the grave of Archibald Monteath.
