
John Sheares
John Sheares was an Irish revolutionary leader known for his role in the 1798 rebellion against British rule in Ireland. He, along with his brother Henry, was executed for their involvement in the uprising, which sought to establish Irish independence. Their remains are among those preserved in St Michan’s Church crypt, which has become a historical attraction.
