
José Fabio Pizarro Espinoza
José Fabio Pizarro Espinoza is a former police chief in Costa Rica who gained notoriety after being convicted of narcotrafficking. Born in Alajuela, he rose through the ranks of the Fuerza Pública to become the Director General in 2007. However, his career took a turn when he was implicated in drug trafficking activities and was sentenced to ten years in prison in 2018. Following his release in 2022 for good behavior, he has recently made headlines by calling for support for President Rodrigo Chaves.
