José Jerez

José Jerez was a master craftsman who contributed to the construction of the Iglesia del Carmen in Santa Tecla between 1879 and 1914, collaborating with fellow builder Pascasio Gonzales to implement advanced construction methods to ensure the church's durability in an earthquake-prone region.
