
José Rucci
José Rucci was an influential Argentine labor leader and a prominent figure in the Peronist movement during the 1970s. As head of the General Confederation of Labour (CGT), he was a key supporter of President Juan Domingo Perón. Rucci was assassinated in 1973 by the Montoneros, which marked a pivotal moment in the violent clash between leftist guerrillas and the Peronist establishment.
