José Traube Tichy

José Traube Tichy was a German entrepreneur who founded the Cervecería del Globo in Cartago in 1888. His brewery became famous for producing popular beers such as Pájaro Azul and Pilsen, which are still well-remembered in Costa Rica. Traube Tichy's successful operations contributed significantly to the local beer culture before he eventually returned to Germany, leaving a lasting legacy in the Costa Rican brewing scene.
