Joseph A. Ryan

Joseph A. Ryan is a four-star general in the United States Army, recently appointed as the commander of the newly established United States Army Western Hemisphere Command (USAWHC). With over thirty years of military service, he has commanded troops in significant operations in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as special operations in the Indo-Pacific region. His leadership role will focus on unifying military operations across North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean, as part of a broader strategy to project U.S. military power in the hemisphere.
