Joseph I

Joseph I was the Holy Roman Emperor from 1705 until his death in 1711. He was the eldest son of Leopold I and a member of the Habsburg dynasty. His reign was characterized by a series of military conflicts, including the War of the Spanish Succession, and he is known for his efforts to strengthen the central authority of the Habsburg monarchy. Joseph I's death led to a succession crisis that significantly impacted European politics.
