Joseph Meyer

Joseph Meyer is a Texas man who came forward with a potential sighting of Martin Luther King's assassin, James Earl Ray, two weeks prior to the civil rights leader's assassination. During a fishing trip, Meyer reported seeing a man firing a rifle and later recognized a resemblance to Ray from photographs, although he did not report the incident to authorities at the time.
