Jovan Kasozi

Jovan Kasozi is a 19-year-old Ugandan chess player and the current junior chess champion of Uganda. As a protégé of Robert Katende, he has benefitted from the support of the SomChess Academy, which assists with his education. Despite facing financial hurdles that have hindered his participation in international competitions, Kasozi remains passionate about chess, attributing his success in mathematics and critical thinking skills to the game.
