Patricia Kawuma

Patricia Kawuma is an 18-year-old Ugandan chess player and two-time national junior chess champion who has participated in international competitions. As one of the talented protégés of Robert Katende, she credits chess for teaching her valuable life skills such as strategizing, discipline, and patience. With the support of the SomChess Academy, she has been able to win scholarships and help fund her family's education through her chess winnings.
