
Juan Bautista Cabral
Juan Bautista Cabral was a prominent figure in Argentine history, known for his valor during the struggle for independence. Born in Saladas, Corrientes, between 1785 and 1790, he enlisted in the army in 1812 and became a hero at the Battle of San Lorenzo, where he saved the life of General José de San Martín. Tragically, he succumbed to injuries sustained during the battle, but his bravery earned him posthumous recognition, and he was buried with honors. His legacy is celebrated in Argentina, particularly in his hometown, where efforts have been made to recover and honor his remains.
