Julia Lastenia de Cálix is a pastor who recently received the keys to the Aposento Alto church in Tegucigalpa, after a legal battle that saw her and her congregation evicted just days prior. The church, which has been in dispute since the death of its founder, Pastor Luis Alberto Cálix, in 2021, has faced challenges from another faction supported by the Asambleas de Dios. The Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court intervened by suspending the eviction, allowing her to retain leadership of the church while the legal issues are resolved.
