
Jurij Chmelnyckyj
Jurij Chmelnyckyj (1625–1682) was the son of Bohdan Chmelnyckyj and served as hetman of the Cossacks after his father's death. His leadership was marked by political instability and external pressures from both Russia and Poland, leading to his abdication and eventual entry into a monastery.
