Kadambini Ganguly
Kadambini Ganguly was a pioneering Indian physician and one of the first female graduates in British India. Born in 1861 in Bengal, she made history by passing the FA examination in 1881, and later, along with her contemporary Chandramukhi Basu, became one of the first women to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1883 from Bethune College under the University of Calcutta. Her achievements challenged societal norms and opened doors for women in education and the medical profession during a time when women were largely excluded from higher education.
