Kairat Torebaev

Kairat Torebaev has been appointed as the permanent representative of Kazakhstan to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and international economic organizations. He has a strong educational background, holding a degree in International Economics from the Kazakh State Academy of Management and a master's degree in international law and economics from the World Trade Institute in Bern. Torebaev began his career in 1997, working in private sectors before transitioning to government service in 2001. Over the years, he has held various positions within Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other governmental agencies, including serving as the Vice Minister of Trade and Integration. His extensive experience in international cooperation and economic development positions him well for his new role at the WTO.
