Kamanga Mukonyoro

Kamanga Mukonyoro is a veteran of the Mau Mau uprising, known for his long-standing fight for land rights in Kenya. Recently, he was granted a court decree allowing him and 722 descendants to evict squatters from a 100-acre piece of land in Njoro, which was allocated to them by former President Daniel Moi in 1996. At over 85 years old, Mukonyoro remains passionate about securing rightful ownership of lands for himself and other veterans, expressing that he feels he has won a 'second war' after years of struggle.
