
Kameshwar Chaupal
Kameshwar Chaupal was a prominent BJP leader and a key figure in the Ram Temple movement in Ayodhya. He gained recognition for laying the first brick of the Ram Temple on November 9, 1989, during the VHP's 'shiladaan movement.' A member of the Dalit community, Chaupal was dedicated to social inclusiveness and worked tirelessly for the welfare of deprived sections of society. He served as a member of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and was respected for his commitment to religious and social causes until his passing on February 6, 2023.
