Karina Díaz is a retired Dominican karate athlete and a three-time Pan American medalist, who faced significant challenges during her career due to an unexpected pregnancy at the age of 21. Despite stepping away from competitive sports for over a year and a half, she successfully returned to achieve remarkable accomplishments, including multiple gold medals at the Central American Games. Now a graduate in industrial psychology, she works at the Ministry of Youth and continues to inspire others through her dedication to both sports and education.
