Kariu

Kariu is a Kenyan student studying at Beijing Jiaotong University, who gained recognition for writing a heartfelt letter to President Xi Jinping to express gratitude for the Belt and Road Initiative, which allowed him and many other Kenyan youth to study in China. After completing his studies, he became a railway engineer involved in the Mombasa-Nairobi Railway project, and he returned to Beijing Jiaotong University to further his education in railway technology, aiming to contribute to the development of transportation infrastructure in his home country.
