Kásim Sulejmání

Kásim Sulejmání was a prominent Iranian military commander known for his role as the head of the Quds Force, a unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps responsible for extraterritorial operations. He gained international notoriety for his involvement in various conflicts across the Middle East and was assassinated by a U.S. drone strike in Baghdad in January 2020, which heightened tensions between the U.S. and Iran.
