Kassoum Gansonré

Kassoum Gansonré is a seasoned small ruminant farmer from Kaya, Burkina Faso, with over two decades of experience in livestock fattening. He owns around fifty rams from Zinder, Niger, and has been significantly affected by the ongoing insecurity in the Centre-Nord region, which has made traditional grazing perilous. Gansonré has shown interest in cultivating maralfalfa, a hybrid forage grass, as a sustainable solution to feed his livestock amidst rising feed prices.
