Kateryna Endeberia

Kateryna Endeberia is a 19-year-old Ukrainian refugee who moved to Stoke-on-Trent after fleeing her war-torn country in 2022. After completing her GCSEs, she faced pressure at City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College to study Russian, a request she found hurtful due to her father's role as a Ukrainian soldier and her own traumatic experiences related to the conflict. Endeberia has since dropped out of the college and is now studying independently, aiming to sit her A-level exams in 2026. She is advocating for better understanding and support for Ukrainian students within the UK education system, highlighting the challenges they face in adapting to a new culture and language.
