Kazimir Lev Sapeha was a notable statesman of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania during the late 16th and early 17th centuries. As the Chancellor of Lithuania, he played a significant role in the political landscape of the time, particularly in advancing the interests of the nobility and the state. He is best known for funding the construction of the Carthusian monastery in Bereza, which served as a prominent religious and economic center. The monastery, built between 1648 and 1689, reflected the architectural vision of Italian architect Giovanni Battista Gisleni and became a symbol of the Sapeha family's influence in the region.
