Khaidarli Khalikov

Khaidarli Khalikov, born in 1965 in Uzbekistan, is a former presidential adviser in Kyrgyzstan who has sought asylum in Moldova after facing threats and alleged political persecution. He claims to have left Kyrgyzstan due to fears for his safety following his refusal to engage in activities he deemed illegal. Currently detained in Moldova, he is under an extradition request from Kyrgyz authorities, who accuse him of fraud, which he argues is a politically motivated charge. His case has raised significant human rights concerns regarding the risks of torture and inhumane treatment if he were to be returned to Kyrgyzstan.
