Kovács Botond

Kovács Botond is a resilient 15-year-old boy from Sopron, Hungary, who has been battling the challenges of a rare disease and a life-saving lung transplant. Diagnosed with diabetes insipidus in June 2022, Botond faced a series of medical hurdles, including a critical diagnosis of Langerhans cell histiocytosis, which severely compromised his lung function. After undergoing a double lung transplant in May 2023, he continues to confront ongoing health issues, including infections and complications. Despite these challenges, he remains optimistic and determined, excelling academically and nurturing dreams of becoming a doctor to help others in similar situations.
