Krishnan Suthanthiran

Krishnan Suthanthiran is an Indian-born, U.S.-based medical technology entrepreneur known for purchasing the ghost town of Kitsault, B.C. in 2004 for approximately US$7 million. Originally envisioning an eco-resort and arts center, he later pivoted to energy, proposing plans for a liquefied natural gas export terminal and now seeks to transform Kitsault into an energy hub with pipelines for natural gas and crude oil exports. His career has been marked by innovation in cancer treatment technologies, although it has not been without controversy, including ongoing legal issues related to one of his companies.
