Kristy Burgess

Kristy Burgess is a former beluga trainer at Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario, who began her career at the park in 2022 as a caregiver for the whales. She has recently spoken out about the dangerous conditions faced by the belugas at Marineland, citing crumbling infrastructure and a staffing shortage that have led to numerous animal deaths. After the euthanasia of a young beluga named Eos, Burgess was fired from her position, which she believes was a result of her whistleblowing on the park's issues.
