Kuang Han
Kuang Han is a Beijing-based artist originally from Jiangxi, known for his dedication to capturing the essence of the city's traditional hutongs through photography and painting. Since moving to Beijing in the 1990s, he has taken over 30,000 photographs and created more than 2,000 artworks that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the hutongs, which he believes are integral to the city's identity and memory. Recently, he has returned to painting the hutongs, expressing a renewed sense of hope as preservation efforts have improved the conditions of these historical neighborhoods.
