Kurt Mott

Kurt Mott was a notable German industrialist and winemaker in Romania, who became a victim of political repression after World War II. He was arrested in 1946 for alleged espionage and sentenced to ten years of forced labor, subsequently being sent to the Rubla labor camp. At Rubla, he played a significant role in teaching fellow deportees about winemaking and agricultural practices, helping them to survive in the harsh conditions imposed by the regime.
