Léon Landini
Léon Landini was a prominent member of the Francs-tireurs et partisans de la main-d’œuvre immigrée (FTP-MOI), a group of foreign fighters in the French Resistance during World War II. Born in France to an Italian father who fled fascism, Landini participated in numerous acts of sabotage and resistance against the Nazi occupation. He was arrested and tortured in 1944 but managed to escape. As the last surviving member of the FTP-MOI, he was known for his commitment to the ideals of resistance and diversity in France. Landini later co-founded the Pôle de renaissance communiste en France (PRCF) in 2004, remaining active in communist politics until his death at the age of 99.
