Letkol Untung

Letkol Untung was an Indonesian military officer known for his role in the 1965 coup attempt, known as the Gerakan 30 September (G30S), which aimed to overthrow the government of President Sukarno. His actions were driven by discontent with the opulent lifestyles of high-ranking military officials, reflecting a broader disillusionment with the prevailing socio-political conditions in Indonesia at the time. This attempt ultimately led to a significant shift in Indonesia's political landscape, paving the way for the New Order regime under Suharto.
