Lhakpa Tsering
Lhakpa Tsering is a Tibetan refugee and activist known for his dramatic act of self-immolation in 2006 as a protest against Chinese rule in Tibet. Now in his 40s, he has transitioned from a life of protest to that of a playwright and cafe owner in Dharamshala, India, where he writes and directs plays that reflect the struggles of Tibetan refugees.
