Liana Noguera Ruiz

Liana Noguera Ruiz has recently been appointed as a director of the Banco Nacional (BN) in Costa Rica, following her role as a campaign financier for Laura Fernández. Previously, she faced scrutiny and was under investigation by the Fiscalía Anticorrupción for alleged illicit enrichment, stemming from her financial activities. Noguera was also removed from her position on the Junta Directiva of the Banco de Costa Rica due to conflicts of interest related to her simultaneous roles as a bank director and a judge. Her appointment to the BN marks a significant return to a key financial position within the Costa Rican banking system.
