Lilja Butschok

Lilja Butschok, a 61-year-old resident of Kostjantiniwka, continues to show resilience amidst the devastation of ongoing warfare. Together with her husband, she participates in cleaning efforts in her battered city, driven by a sense of duty and the desire to maintain some semblance of normalcy in their lives. Despite constant danger and the loss of their home, they refuse to leave, citing their belief in Ukraine's military and their connection to their deceased son's grave.
