Lin Hung-sen

Lin Hung-sen was a dedicated volunteer and excavator company owner from Taoyuan, Taiwan, who tragically lost his life after sustaining an infection while assisting in disaster relief efforts in Hualien County. At the age of 48, Lin selflessly contributed to the cleanup operations following severe flooding in Guangfu Township, where he and his nephew operated heavy machinery to help clear mud and debris. Despite suffering an injury that led to sepsis, he continued working until his condition worsened, ultimately resulting in his death. Lin's commitment to helping others garnered widespread recognition, with government officials honoring him as a hero and emphasizing the importance of volunteer safety in future recovery efforts.
