Teng Hon-yuan

Teng Hon-yuan is an associate professor at Aletheia University in Taiwan, known for his academic contributions and commentary on cross-strait relations between Taiwan and China. His perspectives often reflect a critical stance towards the Chinese Communist Party, especially in the context of cultural and educational exchanges. Recently, he has been in the news for his response to Minister of Education Cheng Ying-yao's remarks discouraging Taiwanese students from participating in exchange programs with China, which he viewed as a necessary defense of Taiwan's sovereignty.
