Lois West is a whistleblower and former joint deputy head of the Garda Siochána Analysis Service (GSAS) in Ireland. She gained public attention after raising concerns about errors in homicide data and subsequently alleged that her workplace was hostile and unsafe under the leadership of Laurence Scanlan, the newly appointed head of GSAS. West reported feeling terrified and harassed, leading her to take work leave. She has pursued legal complaints against the Garda management for failing to protect her and for penalization following her disclosures.
